Ed Small, Big Rock Sports President and CEO, announces plans to relocate the Henry’s Distribution Center to Hamlet, NC which will enable Big Rock Sports to expand from 170,000 square feet to 310,000 square feet of warehouse space. All current office and administrative functions will remain in Morehead City, NC.
“Over the past 2 years, a very extensive analysis and review of our East region distribution has been done in which we’ll be incorporating extensive automation and World Class processes that will have significant positive impacts for our customers and our company. Also planned is an expanded fleet to support more customers on our own trucks, taking full advantage of our proximity to major interstate highways,” stated Wayne Decker Senior Vice President of Operations and Logistics.
Building the industry’s largest and most automated distribution center in this business climate is a bold and strategic move by Big Rock Sports, as they continue their efforts toward their goal of ultimately offering wall-to-wall, one stop distribution to independent retailers and regional chain stores on behalf of all outdoor sporting goods manufacturers. The relocation to Hamlet, NC is further evidence of Big Rock Sports’ commitment to provide unparalleled sales and service on a national and international basis, while retaining a regional product assortment focus.
