Trade shows have come a long way through the years. Across the country, our distribution centers have always known the importance of bringing the product out of the warehouse to the customer. From the back of an old station wagon, to restaurant table tops, tackle shop displays and local warehouses, the shows grew until they reached such proportions that it was necessary to move them to larger exhibit spaces.
There was no doubt that the shows generated a lot of business and show sales always exceeded expectations. In 1972, a dealer show was held at a restaurant in Morehead City, NC with sales exceeding the prior year’s volume. Each of our distribution locations continued on with this exhibit and sales technique. Success was the bottom line. It was imminent that the sporting goods industry was booming and that the growth trend would continue.
As business grew and dealers and product lines increased, it was clear that the shows needed to be strategically located in more regional metropolitan areas across the U.S. Today, we have 6 dealer shows all orchestrated by hundreds of employees throughout our distribution centers. We have embraced the growth and success of our shows and are proud to bring you the industries’ #1 trade shows.

We seize every opportunity to promote our vendors, products and dealers. We think it is important to not only do this in large show venues but to develop a presence through grassroots events. This approach offers many creative avenues to target specific regional product promotions. It is a great way to bring the dealer, retailer and community together to build community awareness and interest in hunting, camping, shooting sports, fishing, ice fishing, boating, marine and other outdoor activities.
