POSITION: EDI Specialist

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

STATUS: Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Set up trading partners for testing;
  • Responsible for full process testing of all documents being traded with each partner;
  • Coordinate moving the partner from testing to the production environment;
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve problems with EDI documents not received by Big Rock Sports, our customers, or our vendors;
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve problems with EDI documents not integrated into the Big Rock ERP system;
  • Learn the SPS portal functions and processes thoroughly to be able to teach internal users how to find and reprocess transactions;
  • Develop and maintain EDI process documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of EDI standard formats and EDI translators
  • Experience with Unix command line tools and good research skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong customer service orientation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Administration of VMware, Linux, and Windows servers, such as email, virus protection, file sharing, DNS, and DHCP;
  • Monitor system and network performance, security, and system logs;
  • Install and configure servers and IT-related equipment;
  • Apply upgrades;
  • Setup and maintain web services;
  • Administer virus protection schemes and disaster recovery procedures;
  • Maintain IT inventory and extensive documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess knowledge of, and experience with, VMware, Linux, shell scripting, Windows Server (20xx), security/compliance, and networking.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in IT-related field with five years related experience; or IT certifications and appropriate experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develop and consistently update a working knowledge of all company systems, product lines, customer programs and offerings;
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the telemarketing team;
  • Identify and evaluate all potential customers within the assigned territories;
  • Prospect and develop all qualified retail customers that fit the model of a BRS customer;
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns;
  • Account-manage the developed/assigned customers with a consistent, structured, consultative contact that produces company sales;
  • Determine customer requirements and expections in order to recommend specific products and solutions;
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction;
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications;
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability;

  • Must have knowledge of basic computer operations ;
  • Must be well versed in the technology tools necessary to drive a large sales force.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred), or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Outdoor fishing and shooting sports experience a plus.

POSITION:  Sales Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Execute sales programs and initiatives as developed by the Shooting Sports and Fishing/Marine teams, and manage the Eastern Region sales force;
  • Achieve sales goals and objectives for the assigned territory and lead a team of outside sales representatives to maximize sales, revenues, and profitability ;
  • Field travel with dealers and reps with travel recaps sent to management team following visits into the markets;
  • Responsible for the training, motivation of, and accountability of sales force;
  • Develop and manage distribution-operating budget;
  • Participate in proposal strategy and development of plans;
  • Develop and oversee training programs for all staff in the DC operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of the independent sporting goods retail business model, inclusive of shooting sports, tackle, camping, and marine dealers;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Must be comfortable with multiple task management;
  • Must be well versed in the technology tools necessary to drive a large sales force.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree required;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing a sales team of at least 10 people.  Experience could include company employees or independent reps/rep groups.
